Please Note:

We are primarily in operation to provide camping to our members, and rent to non-members on a space available basis. We are not a resort; our cabins are remote and rustic.

To orient you to our camp and answer any questions you may have, new renters are contacted by phone as part of the reservation process. Credit card payment with signature is required for new renters, including a deposit. After you have established a history of successful rental, personal checks are accepted and the deposit requirement can be waived.

You are welcome to contact the registrar at registrar@rapidancamps.org with any questions you may have about our facility.

Please be aware of our refund policy: We refund rental payments if a reservation is cancelled at least 14 days prior to the date of a weekend reservation (or 1 day in advance for weekday-only reservations, and reservations in January, February, and March), or if severe weather conditions (such as a hurricane or blizzard) make the camp inaccessible. We do not give refunds for other reasons—your reservation prevents other people from scheduling time at camp, so please be sure you want to use our cabins before you make a reservation.

There is no running water in the winter season, which can start as early as October and end as late as April (depending on weather and volunteer availability). While our electric lines are generally reliable, electricity is not guaranteed. We are a part of the wilderness—small mice are regular inhabitants of our cabins, and you may encounter deer, snakes, or even bears among—and on occasion inthe cabins.

We are currently accepting reservations which begin on the following dates:
If you are a renter with established history: 4/5/17 to 5/28/17
If this is your first rental: 4/12/17 to 5/28/17

In addition, please note that our camp is completely booked on the following weekends:

Privacy Policy

Information on this reservation form will be stored in our database. We do not share or sell this information with outside organizations. If your reservation request is available, your name will be posted on our calendar, and can be seen by members of Rapidan Camps. If you do not wish your name to be visible to all members on our calendar, please inform the registrar, and it will appear as an anonymous non-member reservation to most members, although camp officers and selected maintenance volunteers also have access to our full rental calendar. If you rent, your name will be included on our annual report available to members.
